{Barbie & Ken have a baby!} Kentucky Newborn Photographer

When a pandemic hits and forces all non-essential businesses to close, and people to quarantine...it can make you crazy.

OR, it can push you to think outside the box!

I'm a creative at heart, and love to think of fun ideas with my clients, but during this forced downtime not being able to photograph my client sessions, it pushed me to get creative in a different way!

Being a boy mom, I texted my neighbor friend and asked if her daughter had some barbies I could borrow for an idea. She LOVED the idea and even knitted a couple tiny blankets and a headband for the baby haha. I built & painted a baby crib and a made dress for big sister, then put the set together, gathered my camera gear and had WAY too much fun with it!

I did a lot of posing like I do with my real clients in the studio which was rather difficult with stiff subjects ha, and a WIDE awake baby, but it allowed me to get my creativity out!
